That Special Someone
I just realized that Thursday is going to be Valentines Day and for the love of our life this is a special time. I think that it would be a good time to sit back and reflect a little as to how our life would be different with out that special some one to share our lives with.
Now I know this is suppose to be a fishing site as it is just give me a minute and follow along. Can you remember the first time you hooked into a fresh run steelhead your excitement as you watched in amazement at its aerobatics and the pure beauty of the moment? Now think about the first time you met that special some one did you not have the same rush of excitement and the rush of feeling at their beauty. If you are one of the few whose loved one enjoys fishing as much as you truly have that special relation ship.
I think that is time to take our loved ones out for a special dinner and dancing, maybe a play or what ever the truly enjoy first. Then over a quite dinner you now have time to do two special things. First explain to your loved one why they are so special and why you appreciate them so. Now you have a chance to explain why you enjoy the outdoors so much let them know it is not just about fishing or hanging out with the boys. It is about watching a bald Eagle swoop down just yard from you and picking up a fish only to fly off into the distance. It is about being the first one on the river when all you can hear is the stream as it whispers past and the first rays of the sun as it glistens off the water. It’s about the excitement and anticipation of a fish taking you presentation. But most importantly it is about having some one to share these memories with, your love your soul mate, your lifetime partner.
Once they realize that it is not about getting away it is about having something to bring back not just a fish but that special feeling that truly makes you enjoy life. Now invite them along on your next trip and see if you do not truly enjoy the trip even more with them by your side!
